Abigail ZORNES PATRICK JOHNS - Where Children in 1850?
The 1850 Missouri census, Benton, Greene Co. lists the following household:
14071407
Joseph Johns, age 47, Farmer, b. VA
Abigail Johns, age 37, b. KY
Elijah Johns, age 18, b. IL
John Johns, age 16, b. IL
Joseph Johns, age 13, b. MO
Racheal Johns, age 11, b. MO
Susanne Johns, age 8, b. MO
Thirza (sp) M. Johns, age 5, b. MO
Adaline Johns, age 3, b. MO
Polly Johns, age 1, b. MO
As Abigail and Joseph did not marry until 1844, I am assuming that the first 5 children were Joseph's by his first wife.
My big question is: Where were the children of Abigail and John PATRICK (he died 1843)? They are not included in the above household and I have not been able to locate them in a 1850 census, Mo or elsewhere.
Those children are: John Patrick, William Marion Patrick b. 1836 MO; Christopher Columbus Patrick b. 1838; Sarah Matilda Patrick b. ca 1841-1842.
I did find Eliza Ann Patrick GOODNIGHT in the 1850 census with husband Henry W. GOODNIGHT, Benton, Greene Co., MO. Her age is listed as 19, however, she was b. Nov. 1833 which would make her 16.
Does anyone have the answer to where the children from Abigail's first marriage might have been in the 1850 census?
They were still quite young.
Looking forward to an answer or some suggestions.Thank you.
