Hi Glenn,I have seen your request for a couple of days and thought someone would have answered you by now. This is what I have:I have seen about 3 different Zimmerman family Crests that didn't make an awful lot of sense, these came from mail order firms like Carol Wright etc...But I have found a reliable company called The Historical Research Center
632 S. Military Trail
Deerfield Beach FL 33442
1 800 9407991 or 1 954 421- 8713
The crest that I obtained from them is in a form of a shield with two red lions on a gold shield there are 3 hatchett hammers.Above the shield are leaves and a helmut and a red lion on top.The hammers represent the carpenter and the hatchett and shield represents the soldier. You can write or call themthey will be able to help you. They seem to be very reliable.
I haven't seen anything better. They have been in business at Cypress Gardens in Florida for years. I hope this inspires you to continue with your research.
Please stay in touch.ROZ
