I seem to have conflicting data on this family and wonder if anyone can help. According to what I have found so far Abraham married Anna Getz (dau/of Barnhardt Gotz and Anna Zell) on 12 Oct 1818 in Shenandoah Co, VA. Later they moved to Ohio, not sure if it was Clark Co. or Champaign Co. but Anna was supposed to have died in 1835 in Clark Co, OH. Abraham died in 1875 and is buried in Terre Haute Cemetery-don't know where Anna is buried. Problem is with their children and a possibility of another wife for Abraham. The children I have listed for Abraham and Anna are: male 1819, Serem 1820, Jonathon 1822, Barnett 1824, John 1825, George 1826, Samuel 1828, male possibly Erasmus 1829, male 1831, Moses and Susan 1834. Yet I have seen other children listed for them. Also have a Lydia that appears to be a 2nd. wife of Abrahams who is buried with him in Terre Haute Cemetery. Can anyone tell me if I'm on the right track?
What is throwing me off is that I have a newspaper abstract that states that when Samuel died in 1895 his mother attended his funeral. If his mother was Anna Getz she had died in 1835 so I'm assuming it mean't Lydia since she didn't die until 1900 at age 99 years. Another newspaper abstract for Lydia's death states she was the mother of Samuel. Can anyone set me straight? Thank you
