Well....it sounds like i'm partly on the right track then.... my buddy with access to the Lima newspapers is having internet problems.... he's hoping to have that fixed today, but i'm not holding my breath <grin>....
I asked him to check three articles that looked like they'd have the most information.... There are some other things that looked real short, but I may dig those up depending on what turns up in the first two or three...
I think a couple are related to births of children? In which case, they probably don't mention the child's name, but the dates might confirm some things (although it sounds like you might not have birthdates for any of Joseph's kids?)
Haven't heard from anyone on the Zerbe email list.... still have to email my gal in Florida who's related to Ralph Zerbe. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that your Joseph is part of that family, but we'll have to find some proof first.
Not sure if there's a Georgia Death index? the Ohio one generally lists mother's maiden name, which is a big help when you're clutching at straws. I'll have to check.
