Liz
I took a look at the Lichtenfels Jewish records in the Jerusalem archives. I have mapped all births, m & deaths for the Zenners. There were four families descending from what I ASSUME (based on geography & naming patterns) were brothers: Pfeiffer Zenner 1778-1860 - married Edel Feist (my relative); Jacob 1773 - 1844 single; Meier b. 1785 (must be your Martin) married Jeanette Marx of Redwitz and Isaac b. 1793 m. 1817 d. 1871 married Charlotte Simon of Coburg b. 1797 (the ancestor of Doug's relatives).
As Doug implies, Pauline was one of the children of Isaac - she was born 12th December 1835.
As for your David - all three married branches had a David born around 1816 - 1819 (I assume that's when the common grandfather died and that he was called david & these kids were named for him.
Pfeiffer's David was born 1816 - not yours
Isaac's David was born 6.3.1819 but has a sign beside the birth entry indicating that he died, so not yours, apart from the name of the father that's very different from Martin
Meier's David was born 20.11.18 - and must be your guy. The name Martin is no doubt just an anglicization of the Jewish Meier

BR

David
