I am looking for a will, probate, estate settlement, etc., for John Benjamin Zeliff (could have been just Benjamin without the John) who supposedly died November 2, 1796 in Essex Co., NJ. His wife's name was Mary "Polly" Ward-Zeliff, daughter of Zebediah Ward, and I'd like to find her will, estate settlement, etc., also. She died after her husband, but I'm not sure of her exact death date. She died in Essex Co., NJ also. Mary's father was Zebediah Ward and she was born Feb. 27, 1759.
I am trying to prove/disprove whether this couple were the parents of my Zebediah Zeluff, and I need documentation to prove who their children were. Can you help me?
