I am researching a Josephus W. Zeluff in Branch County, Michigan. He may be my g-g-g grandfather, but I'm still in the early stages of this research.

Here is what I have:

Josephus W. Zeluff was in Branch County, Michigan 1840 and 1850 U.S. censuses. This is from the index only; I've not yet seen the films.

Josephus remarried at age 73 on 14 June 1877, making his birthdate around 1804. The information gives his birthplace as Newark, New Jersey.This is from a genealogical society publication; I have not yet check the original records.

Does this match your Josephus W. Zeluff?
