Looking for any connections to ZELLERs of Neckarkreis, Wuerttemburg, Germany in the period before or about 1850 and in Buffalo NY after that time.
Catharine ZELLER, a likely daughter of Christopher Friedrich and Margaret WAGNER ZELLER, b. Sep 1833, may have immigrated to the US (alone?) about 1853 according to census records in Lockport NY.
She first appears in records as the wife of Burkhard RIEBELING, mother of Elsina (Alzina) in the 1860 Buffalo NY census, and later as a widow in mid-1860's Buffalo city directories.
She remarried, to Jacob MUEHLBERGER about 1866/7 and moved to Lockport, Niagara County, NY where 2 more children were born, Bertha and Friedrich George. Her daughter Alzina eventually married Andrew SCHEU in Buffalo in 1877. The other children remained in Lockport.
Her death certificate and LDS records connect her to the above mentioned parents. Christop Friedrich ZELLER b 1793 in Hopfigheim, Neckarkreis, may be her father.
Can anyone help with information of ZELLER families in that region of Germany or in Buffalo mid-19th century? Thanks for any information or suggestions.
