Fred Zell and Mary Marquardt were born in Germany. In 1866 John C.W. Zell was born to them in Germany. John died in 1916 and Mary died in 1920 - both in Downers Grove, IL. I believe Mary must have remarried as her stone reads "Mary Zell Moehring." Whether she remarried in Germany or Illinois, I don't know. Fred and Mary were my great-great grandparents.
