Hello dear mrs Palopoli Zeitlin
Please call me Pheya, we are all trying to make this tree and work together until we get it done. I am very happy that you contacted the Forum, because the more people who write here the better chance we have in finding out how we all relate. Would you have pictures of your ancesters. All the first names in South America were changed upon arrivel and it is very hard to be sure we are talking about the same people. I try to compaire the names with the lists of people who migrated via Bologne or Hamburg or via Ellis Island. To be sure which country they came from. But since they all named their children similar, I find them quicker by compairing pictures.I have collected pictures from all the different reseachers. And try to identify people from the looks. It seems that we know the same people under very different names.
I also would like to hear, what their occupations were. Even this will ease the identification. We are many who work together and wekeep high moral , no information is exchanged between us, but goes directly from the owner only!If I am able to find out who has the rest of your family tree I'll derect you to that person and she or he will give you the fruits of their work.I can tell you that part of my own Zeitlins went to Brazil, Argentina and I think Uruguay.
But the names you tell are not the same.It could be family though since very few would migrate to any place where they knew noone. It is also possible that they took the last name upon arrivel, because that would secure their entrance if an uncle or cousin would stand as guardian. So if you have the name of the inmarried people it will also ease the search a great deal.
I am looking forward to hear from you again, sorry that it took so long time to answer I've been abroad without internet all summer.
Warm greetings from Pheya
