In the obit for Charles. it mentioned he was the asst-post master; among his duties was to supervise the mail carriers. On the day of his funeral; the mail carriers who wished to attend the service were to do their normal morning run, but would be excused from one of their two afternoon runs.
Charles sister Eliza b. 1821 m. George Hamilton Anderson. Dennis Marr from Troy is desc. from Geo. H. Jr. b 1843. The yougest of the sons: Geo. Jr, John, (Edgar) - my maternal grandfather by his 2nd wife Julia Ann Cramer. In WFT vol. 1 #208 Dennis has a file listing early lineage. Elisabetha (Roller) Luther - maternal grma of Eliza, Charles and their siblings has a line thru her father that extends back to the 1500's in Wuerttemberg, Germany.
