I have no idea of what town in Alsace or Lorraine that they were from. I do know that in the 1860 census I found that they were from Bas Rhine but I understand that is an area, not a town. Listed were husband and wife 40 and 37. He was listed as F. Zehner and she as Sophi, children were Paul 9, Henry 7, Louis 5, and Charlotte 1. All from Bas Rhine. Do any of these names sound familiar?

Have you ever heard of Simar for the name Zehner?
