Thanks Tom,
I am the incoming president of the Zebley reunion. The reunion was successful, but attendance this year was about one fourth what I remember from about ten years ago.
Focus this year was both on celebrating those who lived through the depression and WWII (about half of the thirty five or so attendees), and planning for the baby boomers to continue the tradition. Hopefully, we can use email and these web sites to gain momentum as we plan for a bigger turnout for the ninetieth!
I was personally moved by the war ration coupon book on one of the tables containing family memorobilia. In light of the events of recent days, I hope we don't find ourselves again concerned with how much gasoline, coffee and sugar we as civilians are allowed to consume. If need be, I'm confident the Zebley's and so many other great Amercian families will do what is necessary.
There was also an impressive amount of work which was done to chronocle the family history which we may be able to produce as a CD in the coming year.
