The Samuel I was referencing in my message to Joe was not Samuel Zebley (son of William and husband of Mary Ann Litman). I have never been able to figure out how this other Samuel is related to the William Zebley (War of 1812 veteran) family, but I'm sure there has to be some relationship. According to the 1850 census, the former Samuel Zebley was living in Union Borough (now the City of Uniontown). Residing with him were his mother, Rachel, aged 79; his wife, Elizabeth, aged 41; and a daughter, Sarah, aged 1. His age was listed as 38 approximately 28 years older than the Samuel Zebley who was your great, great grandfather. Maybe some day we'll come upon some information that will clear all this up.
