ancestors to Zarr family of Texas

I am descended from Benjamin Franklin "Frank" Zarr, who came to America from Bohemia with his father, Joseph, a tailor, in 1854 at the age of 11. I have records of the family from that point forward if this relates to any of you. I am seeking the following data: 1) The names of Frank Zarr's mother and sister. The mother died aboard ship so there's no record of her in this country. The sister married an East Texas farmer named Tom Carson, but I don't have her first name. 2) A resource for tracing genealogical data in "Bohemia," which I understand refers to the northern part of what is now Czechoslovakia; where do I go from here? 3) The connection, if any, between the Zarr family of Texas, the Croatian Zarrs who came to Illinois, and the Zarrs who came to Long Island and spread through New York and Pennsylvania. Has anyone looked into this? Help on any of these points would be greatly appreciated!
