There were at least three Zarnicks who settled in Butler County, PA, John, James and Eva, probably in the early 1880s. Eva married my great grandfather, Anton Simer/SImmer in 1883 in Butler, PA. The original name was Zahradnik and though Eva's obit says she was born in Austria, it is more likely she came from Bohemia or Czechoslovakia. Sorry I don't have any more information about where their children went but you might try the other spelling.
