Hi Raffy, My family comes from Sto. Tomas, La Union. My parents (both in their late 50's) are still there. I have since moved to Manila for work, after studying in Baguio. We do go home to La Union on occasions, esp. on holidays or long weekends. Always fun being home; a part of me always want to go back. It's no coincidence that most of the Zarate's come from La Union & Pangasinan, but somehow I miss the connection. Maybe because my forebears, too, are not keen in tracing their roots. In fact I have not met any relative bearing the same family name, other than my father's siblings and their successors (my cousins, mostly grown ups). There even used to be a Board Member from Rosario, LU- name of Dr. Socorro Zarate. Thanks for your number, expect my call when I go back to Manila- days from now (am here in Batangas at this writing...). Cheers! Notify Administrator about this message?
