I am Kathy's niece, Vicky. Aunt Kathy died on May 28, 2008 from cancer. She was the Administrator of our Zapf Family web site and was always researching our name and our ancestors. In doing some online research for our 150th reunion this year (Casper and Agnes settled in NYS in August of 1858) I came across some email correspondence between the My great great grandfather Casper Zapf and his wife, Agnes Weibel settled in northeast Jefferson County here in New York State. They had 3 children who all lived in the Great Bend/Leraysville/ Watertown area. You had asked who Barbara Zapf married. It was Edwin McNeil. They had two children, Fannie (who married Robert Gow) and Edwin Lynde McNeil (who married Helen Kiechle). I'm afraid we don't have much information on that line of the family. My family comes from Barbara's brother, Francis Xavier Zapf (who married Julia Dodge). That marriage produced four children and it is that lineage that I am most familiar with.
