Hi Brad, it has been a while since I looked at anything on this website but wanted to reply to your posting......I am very familiar with the Truckenbrod's in Mendota, Ill......one of my mother's cousins married a Franklin Truckenbrod and also another one married a Gilbert Truckenbrod.....am not sure if they may be relatives of yours also.....there were Truckenbrods living in West Brooklyn area near Mendota and probably East Brooklyn but I am not familiar with that area.......I will send the Truckenbrod website to relatives in Mendota as they may be interested in this..............also, you mention an Appel or Appell family......also I have this on my mother's maternal side and also from Germany originally......small world, huh?
