I'm also doing research on my "Zapf" family from Endingen, maybe we are distant cousins.
My great grandfather was Karl Zapf b. Dec. 20, 1862 in Endingen. Came to St. Cloud, Minnesota in 1880 to learn the leather goods trade from his Uncle Julius Kindler. M. Anna Othilda Henninger May 12, 1891.D. October 15, 1918.
His parents were Xavier Zapf b. 1830 ? d. October 23, 1896 in Endingen. married Luitgarda Kindler Nov. 28, 1861
She was b. 1832? and d. November 13, 1890 in Endingen.
Children: 1. Karl 1862-1918; 2. Josef 1864-1942; 3. August 1865-?; 4. Franz 1866-?; 5. Adolf 1868-1924,6. Anna 1869-1891 ; 7. Emma 1871-?
