John,
Daniel Morgan was the father of John Morgan who married Marian Zane. The marriage index, I assumed was transcribed wrong. I've had the same problem with another Daniel, whose name in transcribed records ended up with David also. I believe this is a common problem.
Yes, John apparently died soon after 1810 and Marian remarried. I writing this without looking at any of my notes. Contact me at lindak@cavenet.com. I've done some research on Daniel Morgan in Ohio County, (W) Virginia.
