My mother's family are Zamoras from Güines, Habana, Cuba. I know that my grandfather (Pedro) was born there, but am uncertain as to if his parents (Laureano & Francisca) and siblings (Acela, Alveo, Juana, Beatriz, Daria) were.

The reference to the Canary Islands sounds very familiar to me.

Do you know approximate years or maybe the name of the city that your gradnfather lived in? I have some older cousins that may be able to provide additional information.

Good luck!
