The name Zagarella I have been told, means the inside of the lemon blossom. It may have Arabic origons. As you know Sicily was invaded by various peoples throughoput the centuries and is a veritable melting pot.
There are also Zagarells who have shortened the name and I have heard from friends that a similar name exists n Albania. I wouyld be interested in any other information or insight anyone has to offer as I thought my family branch were the only Zagarellas in the US.
