I agree with Mike!
Our Yunker is spelled Yunker and has been back to my earliest Yunker, born in 1760 in Switzerland. Now I realize that there are variations to spellings, but a person new to genealogy might not. It can be discouraging to search and find nothing, and it is a thrill to find something in the same spelling as your own.

If anyone has Yunker's born in Switzerland and migrated to Indiana, I'd like to hear from you. I have only our direct line as follows:
Hans Jacob Yunker, b. 1760 in Switzerland, d. 1832
Johann Jacob Yunker, b.1784 in Switzerland, d. 1866
Jacob Yunker, b. 1817 in Switzerland, d. 1865
Rudolph Yunker, b. 1850 in Switzerland, d. 1919 in LaGrange Co. IN
John Yunker, b. 1882 in Jagensdorf, Switzerland, came to LaGrange Co, IN as an infant, d. 1954 in LaGrange Co. IN
I do have siblings for Grandpa Yunker.

Happy hunting!
Ann Bricker
