I have a Certificate of Citizenship for a widowed or legally divorced person from the Swiss Confederation
issued in Jegensdorf on the 23rd of January, 1884.

This certifies that Jakob Junker, legitimate son of Jakob Junker and Anna (nee Konig), born November 22, 1847, and since November 5, 1883 widower of Anna (nee Meyer), is a citizen of the municipality of Jegensdorf. All seven of his children are deceased. He was a carpenter.

The second document is for Anna Maria Schwab, duaghter of Jakob Schwab and Anna Maria Ruben, born July 9, 1862 in Arch. This was issued april 26, 1885

Jacob Yunker was my G. Grandfather & was born in Jegensdorf, Switzerland. He spent seven years alone in the mountains to heal a tubercular condition. His wife & 7 children were deceased. He came to America & settled in Howe, Indiana where he had brothers, John & Emil. He remarried Anna Maria Schwab, and they had Franz ( my grandfather), Herman, Phil(Dr. Phil Yunker-Howe), Fred,Orpha, Louise,Helen ,Jim,and Suzanne.
