Yes I know there were several different churches who did not do much by the way of recording their "flock". The Associate does have some records on the IGI, but very few, if any, of the Free Church exist for that date. Scotland had a high percentage of Roman Catholic and their records should still be available. This was turbulent times for Scotland, just prior to a much hated (by the common people) and enforced Union, and religions changed depending on the flavour of the local laird. Most of whom had sold their country for Engish money. Talk about bribery and corruption!!
I'll check out her entry next time I'm at GROS, the biggest problem is of course the change of Parish. Who knows maybe I'll even make a birth connection for the elusive Robert Stewart.
