This family was from Lithuania, which over the years has been goverened by Russia, Germany and others. The family I have centered on spelled the name YUKNIS, they immagrated to US in early 1900's. Going to Chicago, Ill. they settled, Joseph Yuknis was b.ca 1865 in a village outside of Kaunas, Lith., mar. Katherine Stefankeviez b. May, 1895, Katherine div before son Lenord F was born. Joseph had a Lithuaina bakery., His sister Antanena came to Am, became a semi nun, in 1945; Anna mar Frank Antonaweck. All located in Chicago area.
