Hi, as you can see we do have the same last name. I realize it is not a very common name unless you are in Wisconsin or Upper Michigan.
I am now 51 years old, Born in Menominee Michigan and spent my early years in De Pere Wisconsin.
My father's name was James Arthur Yuenger son of John Yuenger. John was a mill wright in norhter wisconsin. He invented many of the tools still used in lumbering.
He was married to Eva Laurie.
John's family came from the Alsas-loranne (sp) part of Fance. Sometimes it was German sand sometimes it was French.
I do know my grandfather had several brothers but I don't reacll ever meeting them. I recall one of his brothers was "Father David Yuenger" a catholic priest.
John and Eva had David (editor of Green Bay Press Gazette) Jack, and Mary Leah.
My one of my brothers (there are nine in my family) has been working for many years on finding out the family tree. I will get his Email and possibly we could all help each other. Always nice to meet a new member of the family.
I'll also ask my mother Shirley (Bergman) for more information.
J Michael Yuenger
