The information I have is not totally confirmed. It is info I have received from others.
William and Martha had a son named John W. Yow, in 1843. He married a Rebecca Spinks. They had a son named Henry J. Yow in 1862. John W. was in the civil war on the confederate side. He is buried in Confederate Cemetary, Goldsboro NC. He had died in New York in the Hart's Island NY Union Prison. Henry J married Mollie Mclean (my great-grandmother) and they had Henry Claude Yow (my grandfather)in 1908. He married Wanda Newell and they had 4 sons and one daughter. The daughter is my mother.
