Hey, I was surprised!! I am sitting here looking at a copy of a picture of Dempsey and Mary Jane!! They are g-g-grandparents of mine. I do not have much info on them, but Mary Jane was Cherokee Indian. She was the mother of my g. grandmother, NANCY Jane, who married William Tennison Robinson. One of their boys was my grandfather, David Oscar Robinson.
Like I said I have very little info, but if it will help, MARY JANE DANCER's dob was 2/4/1829 Don't know where. dod 11/30/1896. Buried in Shady Grove Cem. Looks like SALTELLO, Hardin County, TN. Dempsey is buried in Powell Cemetery, Powell, Oklahoma, about 10 miles South of Madill.lHe was born 6/11/1831. They were married 5/14/1854 in Tishomingo County, MS. He died 6/13/1907.Mary Jane's parents were Samuel Dancer and Nancy Barnes. That is all I have on them.I don't know where you are from, but there are a lot of Yows around the Madill, Oklahoma ares, and one of them used to have a lot of info. I do not know if she is still living, though. Haven't heard anything about her in a long time. Her name was Jessie, but she was married to a Manuel Yow. He is dead.

One other thing, NANCY JANE , my g-grandmother, is buried in the c emetery at Cottondale, Texas. Her marker is just N. J. Robinson, wife of W.T.
