Yourees from Ireland

The 1850 census data shows that Patrick YOUREE (70 years old) and Francis YOUREE (75 years old) both of Sumner County, TN were b. Ireland.

In the 1820 census the 12th column was titled: "foreigners not naturalized". Originally it was thought that Francis YOUREE (Rutherford County, TN -- *not* to be confused with the other Francis in Sumner County!) was marked in column #12 with '2'. . . . meaning that there were two in his household who were foreigners not naturalized. Since those old census records were handdrawn and difficult to read, it is clear how there could have been an error made here.

Yesterday I looked at the 1820 census microfilm and am certain that column #12 has no marks in it -- and that the '2' belongs in column #13 which is "number of people in the household in agriculture".

What this probably means is that the YOUREES were already naturalized citizens. Has anyone found any record of this????
