I have never found any documentation to prove that the 'H' in my ancestor, Andrew H. Youree, name was for Hart or Hartt. It would make sense, but no proof.

Do you know yet what the relationship was between Andrew Hartt who died in Meckelenburg County ca 1815 and Isabella Hart who m. James Youree?

I am reasonably certain that James Youree who acted for James Youree and Isabella Hartt was an uncle/cousin relationship. The family reputedly came from Guilford County, NC andn that is very close to Mecklenberg.

You have certainly been busy finding gems about our Yourees in these last few weekds! Thank you!!
