The information that I have is that the Jundt family came first to PA and sometime later members of the family moved to NC. Around 1800-1804, members of those families moved to MO (the the Louisianna Territory) in the Bollinger County area. George C. Yount left from MO to ride with Kit Carson and later left his wife and children to settle in the Napa Valley. Other brothers and sisters of George C. remained in MO and many from those families still live there.

Interestingly enough, even after nearly 70 years after coming to the American colonies, when the families reached MO, they still spoke German. I am a descendent of those MO Younts and now I live in Germany and hope to be able to gather more information about the family.
