In Reply to: Yount Genealogy by Gloria Yount of 1217

Gloria we are all descended (probably) from the 1682 union of Hans Jundt and Anna Ursula Schorters in Niederbronn, Alsace France. They were Huguenots. Their son Hans George is our ancestor as the other children died young. Alsace has changed hands between Germany and France several times. I'm from the PA Younts who came in 1751 to Philadelphia pa. The book you refer to might be "A Brief Sketch of the Younts in America" by Wm C and Wm M. Yount back in the 30's. there may be others too. One group went to North Carolina and then to CA (Yountsville) but I wasn't aware of the MO group so it would be interesting to exchange pedigrees?? K
