Have just found your information which answers questions that our branch of the Younker family has been searching for for decades. We are descended from Jonathan Bailey Younker (1826-1882--who died, by the way, in Darke County, Ohio), son of Jacob L. Younker. If you want additional information on this Ohio branch of the family, please advise and I will provide. Incidentally, is it possible that the family originated in Nierstein (instead of Neirstein) which is just outside of Mainz on the Rhine?
