Deceased Name: Gale H. Younker
BLUE MOUND - Gale Hurrelbrink Younker, 78, of Blue Mound died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006, in rural Blue Mound.
He was born April 7, 1928, in rural Edinburg, the son of Glenn and Ada Hurrelbrink Younker. He married Mary Lamb in 1948; she died in 1997. A son, Danny, preceded him in death.
Mr. Younker was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a car salesman for Harrison Motors in Taylorville and a Decatur Herald & Review paper distributor. He attended Liberty Mosquito Baptist Church.
Survivors: two daughters, Cheryl (husband, Rich) Thomas of Blue Mound and Mary Ann Koonce of Vedersburg, Ind.; three sons, Garry (wife, Sharon) and Gregg Younker, both of Blue Mound, and David (wife, Angie) Younker of Langleyville; 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Younker of Beardstown; two sisters, Doris Swope of Mechanicsburg and Norma Fountain of Edinburg; several nieces and nephews; and companion, Rosa Stanley of Dawson.
Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Grace Baptist Church, Taylorville, the Rev. Phillip Neumann officiating. Burial: Grove City Cemetery.
