Younck surname, 18-1900's, US and before

My ancestors spelled their surname Younck and in later generations I have found it spelled Yunck. I am sure these, as well as Younke, are just spelling variations of the same names. I have not traced this lineage past the US. Does anybody know what the country or language associated with this surname is?

Thanks, I will add more details about the family history later.
