John Younger & Ann Moss; Goochland & Bedford, VA

Hi there,

I am descended from JOHN YOUNGER and ANN MOSS, of Goochland Co, Virginia, and later to Bedford Co. Does anyone know more about them, or if there is a will for him? What we have is sketchy and not sure of his ancestors.

We believe this John Younger was born 1736 in Goochland Co, and possibly died ca 1778 to 1801 in Bedford Co. His wife Ann Moss was born 1736-37 in Goochland Co (dau. of John Moss and Elizabeth Massie), and died ca 1801 Bedford Co.

Children of John and Ann Younger were: ELIZABETH YOUNGER (b 1758 Goochland Co, mar. RICHARD FULCHER), MARY (POLLY) YOUNGER (b 1760 Goochland Co, mar JESSE GRUBB 1781), SUSANNAH YOUNGER (b 1764 Goochland Co, mar JOHN PHELPS), JOHN YOUNGER (b 1767, d 1768), and JANE (JENNY) YOUNGER (b 1769 Goochland Co, mar NATHAN DABNEY 1789).

I've seen various postings and documentations to the parentage of John Younger. Was he from the ALEXANDER YOUNGER line of Essex Co ? Or back to HUMPHREY YOUNGER of Kent, Maryland ?

Please contact me if anyone can show any more details for this family.
