Henry Washington Younger was boarn Feb.22, 1810 in Crab Orchard, KY. and died July 20, 1862,was murdered in Cass Co., MO. He married Bersheba Fristoe 1830, daughter of richard Fristoe and Mary Sullivan
Henry was the father of the Yoounger outlaw barothers. The brothers rode with jesse and Frank James robbing banks, stage coaches and banks. During a shoot out with the Pinkerton Dectective Agents, brother John Harrison Younger was killed on March 17, 1884 in Oscela, MO. Jim" Younger joining every now and then,. Their last robbery was on september 7, 1876 with Jesse and Frank in a Bank in Northfield NM .while in the bank the local citzens armed themselves and waited for the outlaws to come out of the bank. Several of the gang was killed, Jesse and Frank escaped and the Younger brothers were captured. they were sentenced to life in prison at Stillwater Prison in Minn. Bob died Sept. 16, 1889 of tuberculosis after serving 12 years. Jim and Cole were paroled in 1901 After serving 25 years of their sentence. Jim could not adjust to life outside of the prison and committed suicide Oct.19,1902 in St. Paul Minn. Cole joined a wild west show, Lectured and wrote books until his death in Jackson Co., Mo on March 21, 1916
