I am working on my mothers family history, but I keep coming up empty. The following is what I know, if you have additional information or leads pleas contact me at tshastid@msn.com My Mother: Dorothy Jan Chandler B: Jan. 9, 1950 - Kaufman County Texas My Grandmother: Dorothy Mae Youngblood - Chandler B: D: Sept. 1998 My Grt-Grandfather: Mack Donald Youngblood B: June 13,1886 - Arkansas D: April 18, 1961 - Dallas County, Texas What info. i have been able to collect: 1870 - us Census Lone Creek Township Ark. J**** Youngblood -Head- white Nancy J- wife age 23- white George R. - son age 4 or 14- white 1900 - Census White River Township, Ark Willaim Richardson - head -white Nancy J- Wife age 53 - white George W.Youngblood- stepson age 19- white Mack Youngblood- stepson age 14 - white John Ritchardson- son age 25 - white 1910- Indian Census - Arkansas, I can't locate at this time 1917 - Married Ida Pearl Neel in Scraper, Oklahoma He is buried in Moody's Cemetary, Moody, Cherokee County, Oklahoma with Ida's family. I have also found a little info. on a General Mack Donald Youngblood with the same birth, who was a General in WWI. I am not sure if this is the same person. I have also found another Mack Donald Youngblood with the same birth year, but he is listed as black, you never know. My mothers entire family from her back were all born at home and have no records. My family believes or has believed that Mack was full-blooded Cherokee Indian. Any help you could give would be great. Thank you, Teresa Notify Administrator about this message?
