On the 1850 census for Decatur Co. TN, Urias is shown with no middle name born abt 1846 to Wm and Almeda. My gg-grandpa John, is shown as 0 age when he was two years old and it says his middle name is the initials W.D. when in fact his middle name was Robert. Then in 1860, only their initials were shown, U.R. and J.R. and their older brother was shown as J.J. when his name was James Irvin. Anyway, my brother had his DNA done by ancestry the first time - only 37 markers. Then we had it done by the Lamont-Young site which has now been moved, and it was 67 markers. Both tests showed us related in some way to the two men I told you about. Richard is abt.ten generations out and Thomas eight. Doesn't mean we are related directly from either of them, but at least it was a step in the right direction. I have all the books about the Scotch-Irish of Augusta Co. but not really much help connecting us back past William and Almeda or Almeta - seen it both ways. Ok, I'll get on Ancestry and see what I find.
