I am not related, just addicted to genealogy. I could not find a John Thomas married to a Jewel in the 1930 Oklahoma census. You do not list a year of birth for him on you query. Is it possible that Jewell went by another name or her middle name?
Census records:
1900 Pawnee Co., OK
Martha Young 11/1838 widow (4 children, 3 living) b. Tn (parents: NC)
Phillip b. 12/1871 TN (parents: TN) day laborer

1910 Tilman Co., OK
Phillip S. Young 39 (1st marriage, 8 yrs) b. TN (f) US (m) TN farmer
Lizzie 35 (2nd marriage, 8 years, 2 children, 2 living) b. TN (parents: TN)
Joy 6 OK (female)
Noble 4 OK

1920 Kingfisher Co., OK
Philip Young 50 b. TN (parents: TN) no occupation
Lizzie 43 b. TN (parents: TN)
Joy 15 OK
JEWELL 8 OK
Noble 14 OK

1930 Kingfisher Co., OK
Lizzie Young 54 widow b. TN (parents: TN)
NO CHILDREN RESIDING WITH HER, I COULD NOT FIND NOBLE YOUNG IN THE 1930 OKLA CENSUS, NOR COULD I FIND A JOHN THOMAS WITH A WIFE JEWELL.

If you would like more info, give me a hollar at my e-mail address be sure to put Jewell Young in the subject line or I might just delete. Pat
