Duplin-Sampson Co., NC, Young Families

'Seeking information on the Young families who settled Duplin and Sampson Counties in the 1700's. I have found records dating to 1754 and the names Peter Young, Arthur Dobbs Young, John Sampson Young, and Alexander Young, all living in that time period. The first three applied for Revolutionary War Pensions. Their descendants seemed to have lived in Sampson, Cumberland, Harnett, and, possibly, Wake Counties, NC. There are three generations of the name Alexander in my husband's Young line. The oldest Alexander we know of lived about 1816 to about 1868. He served in the Civil War from Cumberland Co. There is a Young's Swamp in Sampson County, near the Duplin-Sampson County line. It is connected with a John Young.
