Hello Mr. Glad
We live in the former Township of St. Vincent, Meaford, Grey County, Ontario and we are going to Picton to hear Mr. Lockyer speak about Letitia Creighton Youmans on July 4, 2011. In my ancestor's home, I came across a document dated March 8th, 1859, between David Youmans and Ann Mowerson Blakely with Francis Boucher. When I started tracing this family back to Picton and to Westchester, N.Y., and seeing where some members had moved to, it became most interesting.
Because we only have so much time to spend in Prince Edward County, would you be able to assist us in making this trip more meaningful by sharing some of the research and locations that you have uncovered in Picton and area on the Youmans and their family members?
Have you read, "A Sober Life" about Letitia Youmans written by Peter Lockyer for the Watershed Magazine (Bloomfied, Ontario)? It was quite good. If there is any information that I might be able to share with you, I will certainly do my best.
