Hello there --
I'm no Youmans (as far as I know) but I've got a question about one. I've got a little 1830 book titled THE CHRISTIAN REMEMBRANCER, or , SHORT REFLECTIONS UPON THE FAITH, LIFE AND CONDUCT OF A REAL CHRISTIAN, by Jonathan Youmans, printed by Sleight and Robinson in New York. It's full of thoughts and homilies on the redemption of souls and the Christian life. Just to give a bit of flavor of this volume, the opening pages wonders "How then can I please God? How shall such a worm, such a a lump of perverse ungodliness, obtain his favor?...." I've tried to do a bit of research on this Jonathan Youmans, but coming up empty. Any basic information about his life, out there?
