Actually, there is a great deal of information in Santa Ana, at the Bower's Museum. There is also a pretty good posting, though it hasn't been updated recently, at http://users.aol.com/Yorba2/family.htmhttp://users.aol.com/Yorba2/family.htm
I'm a Yorba too.But bare in mind that Jose Antonio Yorba, who came over with Father Serra and Portola, had three wives and 24 children. He's buried in San Juan Capistrano Mission.Needless to say, there's plenty of Yorba's in Southern California. Also look up Rancho Santiago, the Yorba ranch that extended from Dana Point to Anaheim Hills in the early 1800's.In fact, Yorba regional park was in part made up of the last of the ranch property in the mid 1970's.Great history. We've had our share of rogues (Teodesio was a horse trader and gambler), scholars (Yale for at least one), and gentlemen (Bernardo had a very large working ranch).
