Greetings, I'm calling on all Yoltons to help me complete the development of a family tree linking every Yolton in the United States together into one large family tree. As a few of you already know (namely Mark Yolton, Tom Yolton, Wilma Bibby, and John Dalles), this is a large task because the family has split several times over the past 200 years. The positive is that several of you have provided much needed information to Mark Yolton. In turn, Mark disseminated this large load of unadulterated research to the rest of the Yolton family. As a result, I have been able to link many of the 19th Century Yoltons/Yalton (more often then not Yolton was printed as Yalton during the 1800s) into one family. As far as I can tell, one portion of the Yoltons stayed in western Pennsylvania until early in the 20th Century and then began to move about the country. Conversely, the other branch began moving in the early to mid-1800s and eventually settled in Illinois, Clark County, Missouri, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Texas, and later California. Many of you reading this live in places outside of these states, you are the people I most want to contact. I have had more difficulty linking you into the tree because much of the more recent, say 90 years, is not very well documented in the extent research that I have in my possession. If you can help fulfill this goal of linking all Yoltons, I would appreciate a contact at either this message board or at chairmanjenson@yahoo.com. Incidentally, my mother is a Yolton from the Minnesota branch. I look forward to your many responses, Jeff Jenson Notify Administrator about this message?
