Jacob Yoho REALLY born in Beaver County, PA????

Looking for reliable information about Jacob Yoho (b. bet 1774 and 1784, d. bet 15 Jun and 09 Aug 1843) -- married to a Mary Lawrence.

Many have assumed that John (Lau) Yoho was Jacob's father and that Jacob was born in Beaver County, PA. But some problems appear to exist with that theory:

1) Beaver County, PA was not established until 1800 -- approximately 20 years after Jacob's birth.

2) I can prove that John Yoho -- the supposed father of Jacob was actually in Fayette County on 27 Aug 1777 and at Fort Pitt on 1 Oct 1777 -- at the approximate time when Jacob would have been born.

(3) Census records seem to indicate that Jacob Yoho and his wife, Mary, married one another and moved to Beaver County, PA prior to 1800. No other Yoho-s appear to be living in the Beaver County, PA area in 1800.

Any insights would be appreciated. Certainly willing to open dialogue and swap information with others who are trying to seek the actual truth about the relationship (or lack thereof) between John Yoho and Jacob Yoho.
