Thank you for correcting my error, I sure can't help much on the parents of Hugh Snyder though. In the 1870 Vermilion county census there is a Hugh Snyder, the son of Thomas and Catherine Snyder but his age is off by about 9 years, so I don't know if it the same Hugh. I'll keep looking.
