We recently moved and I finally unpacked the little white bible my grandmother Juanita Yohe had given me several years later, after my mother's death.Sterling gave my mother this bible. It is signed as follows:
To Nanita Kruska, "Nancy Gal"
From Uncle Sterling
"A little gift for you to keep as a remembrance from one who loves you very much."
It is dated May 23, 1942
It list his service address as:
Sterling P. Yohe WT 2/c
U.S.S. McFarland
C/O P.M. San Francisco
His home address as:
788 - 13th Street
San Bernadino, Calif.
AND it lists his nearest Kin, (his wife),as:
Lida Yohe
788 -13th Street San Bernadino
:) this is great! Please e-mail me at [email protected].
